He worked as chemical engineer for Union Carbide. Patricia Ann was a teacher at the local college. In order to continue in the footsteps of her father she earned a degree as a chemical engineer. To fulfil her dream to become an actress, she relocated into New York. Her Broadway performances were followed by a job at a local establishment. The TV show "Felicity," she had one brief appearance. She and Winick worked together in search of other projects following the death of Winick. Garner became an ambassador of Save the Children U.S.A. in 2009. In addition to the promotion of early education, literacy and nutrition at the at the national level, his role is also to promote nationwide literacy. Since 2014, Garner has been a participant on the board of trustees of this organization, pushing for early learning for children. Garner is an ambassador to the Early Steps to School Success Program, where she coaches parents on the best ways to aid their children's learning.
