Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. She started her Broadway career in musicals, including Wicked Legally Blonde, as well as Hair. In her performance as Essie In You Can't Take It With You she was awarded the Tony Award. Annaleigh has worked on projects with award-winning director, actors, and producers throughout her career. Ashford will next be seen with Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust alongside Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. The film is an Hulu Original, the film is available on Disney Digital Television's channels. Ashford's Broadway return will take place in March 2023 when he is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the musical. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal which included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the nation crisis. Ashford was a part of two seasons in CBS successful comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Born and raised in Denver Ashford now splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.
