Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme in France was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey is the oldest child out of 4. At a young age, her dentist doctors parents and teacher mother encouraged her passion of theater and drama. The passion for theater was the one that trumps her first desire to become a the first primatologist. When she was a teenager, her rise to stardom was quick and accompanied by the beginning of her success. Following her graduation She was a part of the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her acting career. Tautou was born into a Catholic home and went to her church even though she was a student within the Institut Catholique de Paris. In addition to her acting career she also pursued a modeling career. She is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. An avid photographer, she created a show at The Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. Through her photography, she concentrates on fame and the spotlight. Cameras are focused at journalists, who sat and watched her during her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her debut role as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie was a the box office and was recognized at award galas across the world. The film is still the top-grossing French language film to be released in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many movies ranging including British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
