Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci as she was only seven years old. The first time she competed at the national junior championships of 1969 placing 13th and she was the winner in 1970. The first time she competed in an international meet, which was an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won crowned all-around Junior Champion. In 1975, she took home four golds and one silver at her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she started appearing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in entertainment during her teenage years. She began her career as figure skater, performing alongside her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice with actors.
